I had a fabulous party this weekend.  The occassion was for a 33rd birthday party.  They requested the pole and products so I was game! 

I arrived to find all 15 VERY attractive ladies dressed in lingerie.  For once, I had too many clothes on.  While I didn’t need to instruct them on very many moves since they all seemed to know what to do, I had a blast!  Parties like this are so much fun.  They made me feel very welcome by including me in their tequilla shots offering of their very fine spread.  These ladies really knew how to party. 

I finished up the party early & let them keep the pole overnight.  Of course it was a win-win situation so I could continue on to my next event.

Wow, 4 months since I wrote!  You could say I have been in a slump regarding Sekse parties.  Don’t fret! I am still Sekse but business hasn’t been that exciting and well, I am feeling a bit burned out with vibrators, lubes, etc.  Currently, the pole dancing parties are the only parties I look forward to anymore.  Like most sales jobs, selling the same thing over & over can really get old unless you change it up.  You would think, like sex, selling sensual products could never ‘get old’.  You would be mostly correct since, like sex, if it gets old, try a new position, new partner (j/k..sorta) or new toy.  Many options are available for this such as doggystyle, reverse cowgirl, oh….nevermind. :)

I had planned on attending ILS this week but it didn’t work out.  Attending the International Lingerie Show in Vegas has been a great motivator for the past several years but this time I need more than that.  I could add new products, market myself to a different crowd, do more networking, reinvent my image or simply improve my in-home demonstration.  I have done all of these in the past and while they do help, the motivation slowly went away.  I am at a crossroads with Sekse.  I’m looking for some fresh ideas.  It might be time to take Sekse to the next level and actually invest some serious money & time into this gig. 

I feel good about this.  I think I will test the We-Vibe II now.

Pole dancing has been working it’s way into women’s lives for quite sometime now.  Yes, we all are aware how amazingly SEKSE it can be…but did you know it also makes for a fabulous workout?  While SEKSE focuses on the sensuality and fun aspect of pole dancing instead of the fitness benefits, we also think every woman should experience pole dancing in one form or another.  Our pole dancing parties are quite the trend for bachelorette parties, ladies’ night out, birthdays, mom groups, buncos and more.   After participating in a SEKSE pole dancing party, you will have gained the confidence to shake that ass and flaunt your wonderful curves.  You will also have worked your muscles, strengthening your thighs, core muscles, shoulders and more!  While wearing heels!

Planning a home party or other quaint gathering? I saw this ‘trick’ a long, long time ago and since I used it recently at a bridal shower I planned, I thought I would pass it on. When purchasing your designed themed paper products such as napkins and paper plates purchase a pack of the designed set along with packages of non-designed ones but still match in color. It takes a bit of time but alternate each designed napkin with the plain colored napkin. For example, if you are using the super fun penis napkins for your ladies’ night out party, purchase a pack of plain yellow napkins to alternate.

Themed pole dancing parties are a great way to achieve ultimate guest participation. Your theme should be something most of your friends are comfortable with. This can cause choosing a theme to be a bit difficult so keep the theme ‘doable’.  What I mean is, if most of your guests don’t wear bikinis,  don’t theme your party ’stripper’.  You will end up with very low participation and many might not even want to attend.  Here are a few tried and successful suggestions for themes:

• bachelorette (of course)
• strip club - dress like a stripper!
• penis
• color - choose your fave color or pattern and have everyone wear it
•  pirate
• school girl - classic and perfect for fall time of year!
• sexiest shoes - or other attire including tube tops, tanks, shorts, skirts
• lingerie
• movies - guest arrive in character
• martini - all drinks no matter what are served in martini glasses. ask your guests to bring their favorite martini recipe!
• country origin
• cowboy/cowgirl

Obviously, bachelorette parties are a huge portion of our business. Many of you have participated in a bachelorette party or even the planning of one. Even guys are involved in some way even if it means just listening to the woman plan or handing over a few bucks to help out financially. We are finding that due to the economy and the stricter DUI laws, many bachelorette parties are staying home or being hosted in hotel rooms.

What are your thoughts on keeping the party ‘home’? Do you think it is more fun? Why?
